Jesus

I believe that Jesus is God in human form.

The name I AM was the same name that God used to describe Himself to Moses at the Burning Bush
Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I AM!

Then they took up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus hid Himself and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and passed on by. --John 8:58,59
 

Other Teachers

I believe that God has sent divine truth into many different people groups throughout history through various teachers and leaders.

In the parable of the seeds and weeds, God is portrayed as a farmer, scattering seeds of godly religious teachers and leaders throughout the world since the beginning

Then sending the crowds away, Jesus went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the [weeds] of the field. He answered and said to them, He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man; the field is the world; the good seed are the sons of the kingdom; but the [weeds] are the sons of the evil one. --Matthew 13:36-38

Jesus is First

I believe that out of all the religious leaders and teachers, Jesus takes preeminence over them all. I believe that only Jesus is THE best representation of what God is like and how he wants us to model our lives.

Some religious leaders claim they are greater than Jesus, such as Mohammed the prophet of Islam. However, the Bible is VERY clear that only Jesus is worthy of claiming the highest place of honor, authority and power

For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. --Philippians 2:5-11

Bible

I believe that the Bible is the best source of truth; however other religious systems also have God's truth contained within them as well.
 

Fruit of the Spirit

I believe that the best indication of whether someone is a true follower of God, no matter what religion they belong to, is you should see evidence of the Fruit of the Spirit manifested in their life.

satan is very capable of counterfeiting many things such as appearances as "an angel of light," and speaking holy words such as "peace and love," but only the Holy Spirit is able to cause sin-damaged human beings to have the ability to manifest Godly qualities on a consistent basis

But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law. --Galatians 5:22,23
 

Holy Spirit

I believe that I absolutely need to be filled with the Holy Spirit every day so I can safely make my way through the minefields of troubles, difficulties, trials and counterfeits that are going to unfold in the years ahead .

Peter told everyone receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit

Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. --Acts 2:38
 

The early church was started when large crowds of people received the Holy Spirit

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness. --Acts 4:31

When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you have a supernatural joy, no matter what bad circumstances you find yourself in

And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. --Acts 13:52

satan's kingdom

I believe that satan's kingdom consists of resentment, revenge and retaliation, and anyone who consistently engages in these attitudes and negative responses has become satan's servant.

The main principle of the kingdom of satan is this: selfishness and revenge. In satan's kingdom, "If you hurt me, I will hurt you BACK!"

Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. --Galatians 5:19-21
 

If it is possible, as far as is in you, being in peace with all men. not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord." --Romans 12:18,19

Here is a list of qualities manifested in evil people in the Last Days

Know this also, that in the last days grievous times will be at hand. For men will be self-lovers, money-lovers, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unyielding, false accusers, without self-control, savage, despisers of good, traitors, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it; even turn away from these.

For of these are those who creep into houses and lead captive silly women loaded with sins, led away with different kinds of lusts, ever learning and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth. But as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so these also resist the truth, men of corrupt mind, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further. For their foolishness shall be plain to all, as theirs also became. --2 Timothy 3:1-9

God's kingdom

I believe that unconditional love towards God, towards others, towards your enemies and towards yourself is the high goal of every follower of God, no matter what religion they belong to.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is at the very heart of what God is all about. As Yahweh's followers, this is the very high goal for which we all are trying to obtain

Repay no one evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as far as is in you, being in peace with all men. --Romans 12:17,18

Revenge and Retaliation have NO PLACE in God's kingdom of eternal love

Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him. If he thirsts, give him drink. For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. --Romans 12:20,21

Last Day Events

I have been wrong about religious doctrines in the past, so I am confident I will be proven to be wrong about some of what I expect to happen as Last Day events unfold.

Sealed UP

I believe that when God states that Yahweh is going to "seal up" some of the prophecies regarding last day events, that you are foolish to believe that you can ever unlock those seal mysteries, no matter how much Bible study you do.

God gave Daniel the supernatural ability and skill to interpret dreams and visions, but when God showed Daniel what was going to happen in the Last Days, God "sealed it up" and told Daniel to "just go his way," because the meanings of the symbols was not something he needed to know

And I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, O my lord, what shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go, Daniel! For the words are closed up and sealed until the end-time. --Daniel 12:8,9

I Don't Know

I believe it is far safer to admit "I don't know" about Last Day events, than it is to puff oneself up with pride by foolishly claiming to know exactly how things will unfold.
 

The First Coming

When Jesus came as a human baby born into a born family at his First Coming, it did not fit the theology of many in his day; so I believe that preconceived theology about the events surrounding the Second Coming of Jesus will also take many by surprise and cause them to have to wrestle with unexpected twists and turns of prophecy.

The Pharisees were the spiritual leaders of God's people at the First Coming of Jesus, and yet the large majority of them rejected Jesus as their Messiah
Then the Pharisees answered them, Also, have you not been deceived? Is it not true that not any of the rulers or of the Pharisees have believed into him? But this crowd, not knowing the Law, is cursed. --John 7:47-49

The Pharisees were very studious of the Old Testament scriptures, but they completely missed what God was doing or saying, and as a result they rejected Jesus because he did not match their preconceived theology regarding the Messiah

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me, and you will not come to Me that you might have life. --John 5:39,40

Strange Prophecies

There are prophecies in the Bible that I have no clue how they fit into Last Day events, and I think it very unwise to ignore them or discard them just because they don't fit my current belief system.

When God is ruling in Jerusalem after the Last Days, He is not going to send rain to those who are rebellious against his rule

And it shall be, everyone who is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

And if the family of Egypt does not go up, nor come in, they shall have no rain, but the plague with which Jehovah shall strike the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

This shall be Egypt's offense, and the offense of all the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. --Zechariah 14:16-19

After the battle of Armageddon, Israel will burn the weapons of their enemies for seven years

Ezekiel 40-47

Suffering

I believe that in the Last Days great suffering is going to come on the earth, and as an act of mercy most of God's people will die to spare them from the fullness of such horrors.

 

And they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with it?

If anyone has an ear, let him hear. He who leads into captivity will go into captivity. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed by a sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. --Revelation 13:4-10

Do Good

I believe that my daily life should be spent in "doing good" for others, and that is far superior than trying to create charts, graphs and timetables as to how Last Day events will unfold.
 

But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you, so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. --Matthew 5:44,45

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return. And your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil. --Luke 6:35

Awareness

I believe it is a very good thing to stay alert and aware about what is happening around me throughout the world, but I want to only give it a small portion of my time as I live my daily life to pay my bills, take care of my family, and do good for others.
 

Therefore watch; for you do not know what hour your Lord comes. But know this, that if the steward of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through. Therefore you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of Man comes. --Matthew 24:42-44

Intercession

I believe if you want to be in God's kingdom, you need to be a prayer intercessor for others. By contrast, I believe that when you take up the work of being an accuser of people, you are serving in satan's kingdom.
 

Who is he condemning? It is Christ who has died, but rather also who is raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. --Romans 8:34

And I heard a great voice saying in Heaven, Now has come the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night. --Revelation 12:10

Warfare to the End

I believe that it will be "war from here to the end." satan is now an "enraged dragon," so he is going to fight furiously and relentlessly against everything God loves from here to the very end.

satan is the great dragon who is opposed to all the things of God, and Revelation tells us he is enraged and full of fury, and will continue to wage relentless and unceasing war against God's people. This will continue until at the Second Coming of Jesus he is then thrown into the Bottomless Pit for 1,000 years

Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and those tabernacling in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and in the sea! For the Devil came down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a little time. --Revelation 12:12

My Part in the War

I am called to be a soldier in God's army, but I am NOT required to fight all the battles that are raging all around me. I just need to do the specific part that has been assigned to me and let others deal with the parts assigned to them.
 

Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, to which you are also called and have professed a good profession before many witnesses. --1 Timothy 6:12

Then having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, if prophecy, according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, in the ministry; or he who teaches, in the teaching; or he who exhorts, in the encouragement; or he who shares, in simplicity; or he who takes the lead, in diligence; or he who shows mercy, in cheerfulness. --Romans 12:4-8

Stick Together

I believe that in order to get safely through the coming world crises, we as followers of God need to "stick together." We all need the complete "body of Christ" to survive what is coming, and that it is very foolish and dangerous to try and be a "Lone Ranger Christian."
 

For even as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same function, so we the many are one body in Christ, and each one members of one another. --Romans 12:4,5

Prophets

I believe that God is continuing to communicate with His/Her people, and that it is wise to check in with various prophetic voices to help discern what is coming and prepare appropriately.
 

Fear

I believe that I need to make it a priority to NOT give in to fear, but instead to live by faith and practice love and generosity towards other fearful and hurting people.
